We arrived back from Denmark safe and sound yesterday and although it feels good to be back home Copenhagen was one of the best cities we have visited in a long time.

The people there were extremely friendly and welcoming. Matilda was extremely patient on the plane and didn’t get upset at all which was surprising. We both thought that the poping of her ears might have caused her some discomfort, but i suppose not.

The majority of the trip consisted of eating out and relaxing while taking in the sights which was exactly the type of holiday we needed to wind down and relax. Copenhagen was fantastic and i would be more than happy to take another trip overthere in the not too distant future!

Me and Mum

I love mummy, she’s the best mum in the world!

Today i had my blood taken from me, a whole 2ml of my red blood :( . I was strong and i made it through without crying at all! Here is a photo of me only an hour afterwards.

Daddy and mummy said i was a really good girl and thety let me play on my play mat for 30 minutes, but then i decided it was boring and started to cry. I always get my way when i cry ;)

Today I went to the 6 week check up. I am now 53 cm long and 3855 grams. I’m a big girl now :) A doctor looked at me aswell, and said I was a strong little girl. I have an eye infection though, which is treated with antibiotiks. Yesterday I got eye drops every 15 minutes… I was very grumpy because it hurt + I didn’t get much sleep. Today I get eye drops every hour, which is much better. Going back to the eye doctor tomorrow, hope my eye is better. Fingers crossed :)

Love, Matilda <3

Today I am one month old. I’m such a big girl now :D  I had on the pink dress Granny bought for me :) Mummy, Daddy, Bestemor & Bestefar that celebrated my 1 month birthday thought I looked like a beautiful princess in the beautiful dress :) They ate cupcakes with pink icing on… but I only got milk. Isn’t that unfair?

Here’s a photo of me… Beautiful yea?

Love, Matilda girlie.

Passport

Today Mummy, Daddy and I went to the police station to get me a passport so I can travel. I don’t think there are too many that get their first passport the day before they are a month. The ladies at the police station thought I was tiny and cute at least! And also, how many have a passport where it is written that they are 49cm? :) Can’t wait to get my passport in the mail box in about a week :) My picture was so beautiful that everyone will be jealous :) Maybe I’ll get Mummy or Daddy to scan the photo, so you can see it :)

Today Mum went to the health care centre to weigh me while Dad was at the hospital having his operation.

I now weigh 3.5 kg and I’m 4 weeks tomorrow. Newborn babies usually weigh about 3.5 kg, so now I weigh the same as an average newborn :) So I’ve gained quite a lot of weight since I was born the 18th of May, which means I’m eating well :)

Here is a photo of me taken by Mum today. Aren’t I cute? :)

On the 17th of may,

Martes water broke and we headed off to the hospital. After many long hours waiting and watching, our baby girl popped her head out at 4:33 on the 18th of May 2010. She was 48 cm and 2895 grams, and the most beautiful baby princess in the world :)

Welcome to the world Matilda. We love you.
